Celebrating Ashika's ArrivalGuaymas started celebrating almost immediately upon our arrival. I'm convinced that they saw us coming and threw the master switch on the town's celebratory fireworks. Good on them. We deserved a hearty round of applause for making a 4000 mile round trip to Panama without strangling eachother or losing any dogs overboard. We have been re-scheduled to go on the hard at Marina Seca at 9am on Wednesday. Our list of jobs is growing, but we see it like this:
UPDATE: One day before going on the hard the bastards got our outboard engine. The engine was on the dinghy, padlocked with a cable, hanging off our davits. They did it without waking up Ginger. Little do they know that the joke is on them. It runs terrible. We lost the bolts to the carburator overboard and had it jury rigged. HA HA. I suppose they could fix that, but as we found out, those bolts aren't just laying around everywhere, so maybe they will have a hard time finding them. If I were part of a CSI investigative team, I could go around to all of the Nissan dealers (one or two maybe) and set a trap waiting for them to come in and order those bolts. Shoot, I can see all kinds of holes in that plan. "Call the insurrance agent Dois!" Need to add to our list: # 21. Buy outboard engine.
Peices Peace.
